Former cricketer Aakash Chopra has suggested a bizarre way to prevent Travis Head from playing a stellar knock against India in the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-finals.
He feels that India doesn’t have to play with the mindset of revenge against Australia for the 2023 ODI World Cup finals defeat and focus on the present.
The Men in Blues suffered a heartbreaking defeat at home after dominating the group stages of the World Cup, and now they are up against the Aussies once again. Still, this time, the venue is Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
With Travis Head‘s unbeaten 137 runs, Australia secured six wickets in the summit clash. Aakash Chopra talked about the pain of the 2023 ODI World Cup defeat, suggesting a bizarre way to stop Head from playing another big knock.
“The pain of whatever happened on 19 November 2023 is there today as well. We don’t have to take revenge but need to change the result.”

“Can we catch Australia on this Dubai pitch because we have won all three games, and they have reached here after winning just one match? However, who will stop Travis Head? Should we change the jersey colour from blue to something else?” said Chopra.
He also smashed a century in the WTC 2023 finals against India and become their nightmare in recent times.
“I have decided that I won’t wear blue. I will wear black clothes and go. However, how to stop Travis Head? Firstly, bowl around the stump and close to him. Try bouncers at the start and bring spin without wasting any time. Proactivity is needed here,” he observed.
“Travis Head will keep hitting till the time he stays, and you will keep breathing hard till the time he keeps hitting because he is that kind of a player. Some people are great and some are demons. I am talking metaphorically, we don’t insult anyone at all,” said former cricketer.
“However, he is that demon. Something happens to him whenever he plays against India. My brother, I request you with folded hands, we remember the WTC final, BGT, the World Cup final, please stop.”
“We have given you a good IPL contract. Please respect the huge money we are paying you and get out.”
Travis Head has scored 345 runs in 9 matches against India at an average of 43.13.
