BANW vs PAKW Playing 11:Nigar Sultana-led Bangladesh will square off against Fatima Sana-led Pakistan women in the 3rd match of the Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 on October 01 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Bangladesh and Pakistan women met on 16 occasions in ODI format, where Bangladesh women have won on 7 occasions, while Pakistan Women have won on 8 occasions, and one game ended with no result.
Bangladesh Women has won three out of five games in recent games while Pakistan women has won on only two occasions in their last five outings.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first. Speaking at the toss, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana said, “We will bat first. The pitch looks good for batting, hopefully we will play good cricket. Every team is tough to beat in World Cup. If we play good cricket we can beat any time. Three new faces for us.”
Meanwhile, Nigar Sultana said, “It’s ok but we wanted to bat as well. It was pretty good to bat on in the warm-up games as well. We have been practicing very hard, fitness, skill-wise as well.”
