Day 01
- Batting first in rain affected game, New Zealand scored 231 runs losing 9 wickets. Kane Williamson and Michael Bracewell were the only scorers scoring 52 and 47 respectively.
- Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales, Ojay Shields and Justin Greaves picked two wickets each for West Indies.
Day 02
- Resuming the game on day 02, New Zealand lost their final wicket for 231 runs at Christchurch.
- Starting their innings, West Indies got bowled out for 167 runs with Chanderpaul and Shai Hope smashed fifties each.
- Jacob Duffy picked five wickets while Matt Henry and Zakary Foulkes bagged 3 and 2 wickets each.
- New Zealand begun their second innings and scored 32 runs by the end of day 02.
Day 03
- Resuming their game on day 03, New Zealand continued to bat till end of the day with Tom Latham and Rachin Ravindra smashed centuries and went on to score 145 and 176 runs respectively.
- Apart from them Devon Conway, Will Young and Michael Bracewell made some decent contribution as New Zealand scored 417 runs for 4 wickets on stumps at day 03.
Day 04
- Resuming the game on day 04, New Zealand lost 8 wickets for scoring 466 runs at Hagley Oval.
- Kemar Roach bagged 5 wickets while Ojay Shields completed with 2 wickets.
- Starting their second innings, West Indies went on to score 212 runs for four wickets by the end of day 04.
- Shai Hope went on to smash 100 during West Indies’ second innings.
Day 05
- Resuming the game on Day 05, West Indies went on to score 457 runs and the game ended in a draw. Jacob Duffy picked three wickets each while, Matt Henry, Zakary Foulkes and Michael Bracewell bagged one wicket each.

I’ll just say pretty much resilient. It’s a word that we’ve thrown around in the dressing room a lot. So for me to be there at the end, you know, was really important. So anything for the team at the end of the day.
And you can look at me. Special, special day for me. Special day for the team. We were pretty much up against it. So, to come out here about a whole day, after losing Shai, we thought we would have probably pushed for a win.
But then, with Kemar, the senior pro, getting me all the way. Pretty much happy for him being there at the end as well.
A really, really special day for us as a group. I had a long chat with coach Floyd Reifer and he was saying, once you get in, stay in, it’s a good pitch.
