The star batter Virat Kohli has hinted on his retirement rumours on March 15 saying that he might not have another tour of Australia in him.
After arriving in Bengaluru and joining the RCB camp ahead of the IPL 2025 season, Virat Kohli attended several events arranged by the franchise and also reported to the media.
He made a huge announcement on his test future and revealed that he might not have another Australia tour in him. India suffered a 1-3 defeat in the BGT 2024-25 against Australia.
Despite a century, Virat Kohli had a poor outing and was centre of criticism for his outside off stump weakness. He scored only 190 runs in nine innings averaging 23.75.
Rohit Sharma also performed terribly, finishing with just 31 runs from 3 games. The duo blamed as the main reason for India’s performance hitting under par in the test format.
“I might not have another Australia tour in me, so I am at peace with whatever happened in the past,” Virat Kohli said at the RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit.

India will be travelling to Australia in October-November 2025, but to play a white-ball tour. India will be playing 3 ODIs and 5 match T20I series as they will be preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup and 2027 ODI World Cup.
The star batter Virat Kohli quit the T20I format after 2024 T20 World Cup in Barbados, where he won the player of the Match in the finals against South Africa.
Speaking about the plans after retirement, Virat Kohli said that he would travel more but genuinely had no idea what he would do after leaving cricket.
“I actually don’t know what I will be doing post-retirement. Recently, I asked a teammate the same question and got the same reply. Yeah, but there may be a lot of travelling,” said Virat Kohli.
Kohli is set to return to action in the IPL 2025 season where RCB will play their first match against defending Kolkata Knight Riders on March 22 at Eden Gardens.
