Shardul Thakur is likely to get a contract in the upcoming IPL 2025 season as the bowler was spotted training at Lucknow Super Giants camp on Sunday.
Thakur who has played for Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Rising Pune Supergiants also celebrated Holi with the LSG players.
With the images of Thakur wearing the LSG training kit went virat on social media on Sunday, the franchise is yet to confirm his signing.
The right armer, who donned the CSK jersey last season, was released by the franchise ahead of the auction last November. He picked only five wickets in nine games and scored 21 runs.
He attracted no bids, even from his previous teams and was recalled on Day 02 of the event but went unsold again.
Shardul Thakur has played 95 matches in IPL matches and scalped 94 wickets.

The all-rounder returned to domestic cricket in Mumbai’s run to the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy win, he picked up 15 wickets in nine games at 24.53. He also scalped 35 wickets in nine matches at 22.62 in Ranji Trophy.
Meanwhile Shivam Mavi has been also spotted in the LSG camp and celebrated Holi. After watching them with the team, a lot of people have begun discussing their potential inclusion in the team for season.
LSG has been battling with woes, with Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan have yet to get a clearance from NCA with less than a week left before the start of the 18th edition of the tournament.
At the moment, Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan are waiting for fitness clearance from the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Mayank Yadav might miss the first half of IPL 2025 because of injury issues.
Meanwhile, Mitchell Marsh confirmed that he will only be available as a batter during the IPL season due to back injury.
The Lucknow side already has injury concerns to their core fast bowlers and the inclusion of these two could improve their bowling department.
Lucknow Super Giants will play their first match of the IPL 2025 against Delhi Capitals on March 24 at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
