Organizers released the press statement that “Fast bowler Sandeep Sharma will represent Rajasthan Royals this season after being signed as a replacement for Prasidh Krishna,”
Also added that, “Picked for his base price of INR 50 lakh, Sandeep is one of the most senior bowlers in the tournament with over 100 wickets and 10 seasons of experience under his belt”

Prasidh Krishna – Ruled Out of IPL 2023
Prasidh Krishna was retained by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2023 Auction. He suffered a back injury last September that ruled him out of action for six months. It got extended and Prasidh Krishna was ruled out of IPL 2023.
Prasidh’s IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals mentioned that “Rajasthan Royals would like to confirm that their 26-year-old pacer Prasidh Krishna will miss the 2023 season of the IPL owing to a stress fracture surgery, and the rehabilitation process that will follow.”

Sandeep Sharma’s went unsold in IPL 2023 Auction and left everyone shocked. Even Sandeep Sharma stated that he was “shocked and disappointed” after failing to make it into a team during the IPL 2023 Auction.
In IPL 2022, Sandeep Sharma has been sold to Punjab Kings at his base price of INR 50 Lakhs.
Finally, now he came back to action in IPL 2023 for Rajasthan Royals as the franchise took him replacing Prasidh Krishna.
