The Mumbai Indians have named England Wk-batter Jonny Bairstow, Sri Lanka Captain Charith Asalanka, and England Seamer Richard Gleeson as replacements for Will Jacks, Corbin Bosch and Ryan Rickelton for the remainder of the IPL 2025.
Will Jacks, who returned to India for the IPL 2025 resumption, will be available only for the group stages and will fly back to England due to national duties when the Three Lions face West Indies in the ODI series starting on May 29.
Meanwhile, South African cricketers, Ryan Rickelton and Corbin Bosch will be also missing the final phase of the tournament due to national duties. Both have been named in the South Africa squad for the World Test Championship final and will be missing the Indian league to start their preparations for the WTC.
Jonny Bairstow has 1589 runs at an average of 34.54 and a strike rate of 144.45, which includes two IPL centuries.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka ODI and T20I captain Charith Asalanka has made 134 appearances for Sri Lanka and also scored 1247 runs in 58 games, averaging 24.45 with a strike rate of 128.55.
Meanwhile, English pacer Richard Gleeson has featured in 6 T20Is. At 37, he made his IPL debut last year with Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai Indians are in the fourth position of the IPL 2025 points table with seven wins and five losses.
They are set to play their final two group stage fixtures against Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings on May 21 and 26 respecitvely.
With Gujarat Titans, Royal Challengers and Punjab Kings secured a spot in the playoffs and Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders knocked out of the tournament, the race for the final playoff spot will be between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Captials.
