    The Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ahead of the IPL 2025 playoffs.

    He has been named as a replacement for Lungi Ngidi, who will be leaving the side after being named in the South Africa squad for the upcoming WTC finals against Australia, starting on June 11 at Lord’s.

    RCB has already secured their berth in the 2025 playoffs and is aiming for a top-two finish in the points table, which gives an extra lifeline to advance to the finals.

    However, their defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad has made it almost impossible for them to finish in the top two spot.

    On this occasion, RCB has posted on this official handles about the joining of the Zimbabwean pacer ahead of the playoffs.

    This will be Muzarabani’s maiden stint in the IPL despite served as a net bowler in LSG when Andy Flower was tei. The Bengaluru franchise is counting on his pace and energy to boast the likes of their bowling attack.

    Blessing Muzarabani has played over 70 T20Is, claiming 78 wickets and has also represented the national side in 13 tests and 55 ODIs.

    On the other hand, RCB’s star pacer Josh Hazlewood has also rejoined the squad after recovering from a shoulder injury futher strengthening their bowling attacks ahead of the IPL 2025 playoffs.

    Hazlewood has been the leading wicket taker for RCB this season picking 18 wickets in 10 games. He has been sidelined since April and returned to Australia during the IPL 2025 suspension following the cross border tensionn between India and Pakistan.

    He completed his rehabilitation and resumed training in Brisbane as part of Australia’s preparation for upcoming WTC finals against South Africa.

    RCB will be finishing in the top two if they manage to secure a win against Lucknow Super Giants. If they lose, they will be placed in third or fourth position in the points table.
