Men’s Super Smash 2025-26: New Zealand’s T20 league is back, bringing explosive action, top cricketing stars, and a lineup of thrilling clashes throughout the season.
The 21st edition of the season will be played between December 26 and January 31, 2026, alongside Women’s Super Smash 2025-26. Throughout the years, the tournament has had many names – New Zealand Twenty20 Competition, State Twenty20, HRV Cup, HRV Twenty20.
Since, 2014-15 season, the competition has been known as Super Smash with many different sponsors exercising their own naming rights.
Central Stags are the current champions after defeating Canterbury by 6 wickets in the finals of the Super Smash 2024-25.
Men’s Super Smash 2025-26 Schedule
As per the Super Smash 2025-26 Schedule, the first match will be played between Northern Knights and Auckland on December 26 at Seddon Park, Hamilton.

Men’s Super Smash 2025-26 Format
- Six Teams compete in a double round-robin league stage, where each team plays 10 matches.
- A total of 30 league stage games will be played before the knockout stage games.
- The top team in the group stages will advance straight to the final, while the second and third-placed teams will play off in an elimination final.
- The winner of the elimination will be the second finalist
- Each team winning a game will get 4 points, while a tie and a result game ends in each team getting two points. The losing teams will not receive any points.
