Jos Buttler smashed his fifty in the first match of the ODI series in the England tour of India to stabilize the innings after the side struggled with early dismissals at Vidarbha.
Buttler is trying to balance the score after England lost the wickets of Phil Salt, Ben Duckett, Jos Root and Harry Brook. He smashed up his 27th half-century to help the side recover in the scoreboard.
England chose to bat first aiming for a fresh start in the ODI series. But debutant Harshit Rana picked the wickets of Ben Duckett and Harry Brook for 32 and 0. Meanwhile Phil Salt was sent out on a run out for 43 runs.
Buttler tried to forge a partnership with Root, but the latter was eventuall dismissed on a lbw by Ravindra Jadeja. After the dismissal of Joe Root, England lost four wickets for 111 runs in the 19th over. With a top order collapse, Buttler came to the resuce and scored 52 before being dismissed by Axar Patel in the last ball of the 33rd over.

Earlier, India has revealed that Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana are make their ODI debut and Virat Kohli being rested due to knee problem he developed on the eve of the opener match.
Rana had an impressive T20I debut in the recently concluded series and his ODI debut also proved to nightmare for England as he picked the wickets of Duckett, Brook and Liam Livingstone.
England recently suffered a 1-4 defeat in the T20I series against India and planned to use the ODI series as the preparation for the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy. However their batting line up seemed to be collapsed as they lost 6 wickets for 183 runs at Vidarbha Cricket Stadium.
