The India Women’s cricket team is set to start their preparations for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 and their tour against Australia as Harmanpreet Kaur & co will gather in Visakhapatnam.
Apart from the 15-member squad for the World Cup, the camp will also include six players who have been named as standbys.
Sayali Satghare, who features in the team announced for Australia ODIs, but will make way for all-rounder Amanjot Kaur’s return in the World Cup squad.
The camp could likely also involve the India A squad, the majority of which is currently engaged in an unofficial test against Australia A. The Indian A team is due to take on New Zealand in Bengaluru’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in their first official World Cup game.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and South Africa will be based out of co-hostly city of Colombo, initially and will each play both of their warm-up games there.
Radha Yadav is currently leading India A in the red-ball game in Brisbane, is expected to join the squad flying out after the game concludes on August 24.

India women will take on two opponents – South Africa on October 09 and Australia on October 12 at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Vizag in the round robin face of the home World Cup.
Besides, Vizag, Guwahati, Indore and DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai are the other Indian cities hosting the eight-team global event.
The India Women will focus on skills and is an extension of an earlier one in August wherein a larger group of India probables were put through their paces at the BCCI CoE.
The 10-day camp in Bengaluru was focussed on fitness, fielding and match simulations, and also saw a day-night intra-squad game, post which the World Cup was announced.
