Royal Challengers Bengaluru registered four losses in five matches, the Bengaluru-based franchise is now hit with a new rumour regarding Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis banter.
Did Virat Kohli – Faf Engaged in Fight?
With a hattrick loss, RCB placed in the ninth spot in the IPL 2024 points table with an NRR of -0.843.
RCB handed a crushing 6 wickets defeat during their previous clash against Rajasthan Royals. Apart from the heartbroken defeat, the RCB camp is now hit with a new controversy regarding a clash between Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis.
Right after Virat Kohli stepped down as RCB captain, the franchise named Faf du Plessis as the new skipper for the IPL 2022 season. Since his appointment, RCB qualified to playoff in the 2022 edition and ended up in 6th position last year.
Though RCB kickstarted their 2024 campaign with flying dreams of winning the season, they were handed a 6-wicket defeat by the defending champions CSK in their opening game.
Though RCB won their second game of the season by beating PBKS by 4 wickets, Faf and co failed to maintain their consistency and lost their following three matches which were played against KKR, LSG and RR.
In their last game which was played against Rajasthan Royals, Virat Kohli was seen heartbroken after losing the game despite scoring an unbeaten 113 runs. While defending the target, the RCB skipper and Virat were not impressed with the fielding performances.
The opening duo was seen having an unfriendly conversation on the field regarding some field adjustment later Virat was seen heartbroken in the dugout after losing the game.

RCB were scheduled to face Mumbai Indians on April 11 in Wankhede Stadium. Though there were no clear reports regarding the incident it was fans who stirred the controversy regarding the misunderstanding between Virat and RCB management.

Why Virat Kohli Travelled Alone to Mumbai?
A ton of rumours starts to spread regarding the clash between Virat and Faf following the match. Adding the fuel to fire, Virat reached Mumbai personally and didn’t travel with the team.
Though there we no official announcement regarding Virat’s solo travel to Mumbai as per our understanding, Virat has reached Mumbai in advance to complete his ad shoot before joining the team.

On the other hand, Virat was seen having fun with the team during their preparation for the Mumbai Indians clash in Wankhede Stadium. The video clearly shows there were no rivals between the RCB and their star player.
