New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat. Speaking at the toss, New Zealand captain Tom Latham said, “We’re going to have a bat. It looks a reasonably dry surface, so hopefully we can make use of it first up.”
Speaking on the today New Zealand Cricket team playing 11, “Yeah, obviously a bit of a tale of changes throughout, I guess, the series, but unfortunately, Glenn Phillips and Matt Henry have been ruled out with some niggles, so Mitch Santner comes back in, Ben Sears and Blair Tickner come in for Kyle Jamieson, who’s sort of been rested through more workload.”

“Yeah, right. A great New Zealander who’s got a really iconic sporting story, gave a lot to the cap, a lot to this team, and yeah, our thoughts and prayers are with his family.”
Meanwhile, Ben Stokes said, “We would have had a bat as well. Yeah, very good. Obviously, we always have some pretty fond memories playing against, a good series against New Zealand, and this has been no different up to now. So, massive week for myself, massive week for the team, and hopefully we can be here at the end of this game lifting the trophy.”
Meanwhile, Speaking on today England Cricket Team playing 11, Stokes said, “Yeah, it’s a few factors. I think it’s pretty obvious that we’ve sort of given ourselves more options when we’ve released our squads. We’ve made our squads a little bit bigger than we normally do, giving ourselves more options with different conditions. We’re at a new ground here at Trent Bridge, which is completely different to what Lord’s played like, what the Oval played like.”
