An explosive knock from Rovman Powell has powered a 6-wicket victory for the Los Angeles Knight Riders in the MLC 2026 game against Texas Super Kings at Pomona.
His 27-ball 73 has set up the Los Angeles Knight Riders to post a comfortable win against the Texas Super Kings. By this win, LAKR jumped to the 3rd spot in the MLC 2026 Points table.
After being invited to bat first, Texas Super Kings’ Saiteja Mukkamalla and Faf du Plessis opened the innings while Sunil Narine opened the bowling attack.
Sunil Narine brought the first wicket for the Knight Riders, dismissing Faf du Plessis for 14 runs. After Rilee Rossouw got dismissed by Jason Holder for 2 runs, Shubham Ranjane joined Saiteja at the crease as TSK scored 58 runs in the powerplay.
The duo forged a 56-run partnership for the third wicket as Ranjane scored 28 runs before his dismissal by Jason Holder.
Sunil Narine bagged his second wicket, dismissing Donovan Ferreira for 2 runs. Meantime, Saiteja Mukamalla smashed his fifty and went on to score 80 runs off 55 deliveries.
With Wian Mulder and Dian Forrester’s unbeaten knock, Texas Super Kings scored 173/5 in their 20-over innings.
Sunil Narine and Jason Holder bagged two wickets each while Andre Russle completed his spell with 1 wicket.
Chasing the 174-run target, Colin Munro and Andre Fletcher opened the innings while Wiaan Mulder opened the bowling attack.

With the dismissal of Andre Fletcher for 6 runs, Unmukt Chand joined Colin Munro at the crease as the Los Angeles Knight Riders scored 38 runs in the powerplay.
Unmukt Chand scored 18 runs while Matthew Tromp added 11 runs before being dismissed by Donavan Ferreira and Dian Forrester, respectively.
However, Rovman Powell and Colin Munro forged a solid 105-run partnership as the side revived their innings.
With Munro smashing a fifty, Powell made a stunning cameo, smashing a 20-ball fifty and went on to score 73 runs off 27 deliveries before being dismissed by Amshi de Silva.
With Colin Munro and Jason Holder at the crease, Los Angeles Knight Riders completed the chase in the 19th over and secured a comfortable 6-wicket victory against Texas Super Kings.
Rovman Powell was named player of the match. Speaking at Powell said, “At the halfway stage, I told the guys that it was a better wicket. Obviously, we played on a wicket the other night where we struggled as batters, but I told them at the halfway mark that it was a better wicket, one that you could trust your stroke play on.”
