Indian cricketer Yash Dayal has been in the spotlight after marrying content creator Shweta Pundir in a private ceremony.

With the excitement building for the upcoming IPL 2026 season, RCB fans are wondering about the return of the left-arm seamer for the 19th edition of the tournament.

While Dayal remains part of the RCB 2026 squad, questions about his availability persist ahead of the new IPL season.

According to reports, his involvement is doubtful due to a rejected bail plea in an alleged legal case.

So far, there has been no official announcement suggesting that Dayal will miss the tournament. If selected in the playing XI and available for the season, he is expected to represent Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026.

However, the decision will be based on team selection, fitness, and other professional commitments.

Yash Dayal has been involved in controversies and allegations of harrasing a minor girl. According to media reports, a woman filed a complaint accusing the cricketer of cheating and emotional exploitation after allegedly being in a relationship with him for several years.

It is said that a young cricketer from Jaipur claimed that the fast bowler promised to help her advance her career and later sexually assaulted her when she was 17.

Following the registration of the case, Dayal moved the court seeking anticipatory bail to avoid arrest while the investigation was underway.

The alleged incident took place in 2023, and a First Information Report (FIR) was filed at the Sanganer Sadar Police Station.

In January 2026, the Rajasthan high court granted anticipatory bail to Dayal in one of the cases after a lower court had rejected his plea.

Initially, his bail application was rejected by a court under the protection of the Children from sexual offences Act, prompting the cricketer to approach the High Court for relief.

His lawyer, Chandrasekhar Sharma, argued that the FIR was filed nearly two years after the alleged incident and maintained that Dayal had met the complainant only in public and in the presence of teammates.

Dayal began his IPL career with the Gujarat Titans in 2022 and was part of the title-winning campaign that season.

He joined the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2024 and has remained with the franchise since. That same year, he also received his maiden call-up for the India national cricket team during a home test series against Bangladesh, though he is yet to make his international debut.

As per the IPL 2026 schedule, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will play in the opener match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
