The Indian wk-batter Sanju Samson has joined the Rajasthan Royals camp (RR) on Monday ahead of the start of the IPL 2025 season after undergoing finger surgery last month.
According to reports, Samson was undergoing rehab at Bengaluru’s Centre of Excellence following his injury he sustained during the home tour against England.
However, Sanju Samson joining the camp has confirmed his availability for the tournament right from the start, but it is not yet confirmed if he will keep wickets straight away.
Dhurv Jurel will be an potential option to Keep if Samson isn’t fit. Jurel was the wicketkeeper for the fifth T20I against England in February after the 30 year old hit on the finger by Jofra Archer’s delivery while batting.

Sanju Samson has been exceptional in the last season scoring 531 runs in 15 innings at an average of 48.27, with a strke rate of 153.46. His high score is 86 and had five half centuries and fifth highest run getter in the tournament.
Meanwhile all-rounder Riyan Parag who recovered from his shoulder injury might be named in the starting 11 for Rajasthan. After sitting out from the T20Is against South Africa and England, Parag made a return to the second phase of the Ranji Trophy.
He was Rajasthan’s top run getter last season and overall third-highest. In a breakout season, Parag scored up 573 runs at an average of 52.09 and a strike rate of 149.21, with four half-centuries and best score of 84*.
Rajasthan Royals will open their IPL 2025 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Following that, they will be playing two back-to-back home matches against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings on March 26 and 30 in Guwahati.
