Seamer Mohit Sharma has lauded Delhi Capitals’ bowling attack as the best he’s ever been a part of IPL history after being bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 2.20 crore in the mega auction.

Mohit Sharma who was released by Gujarat Titans ahead of 2025 auction, will join forces with Mukesh Kumar, T Natrajan, Mitchell Starc and Dushmantha Chameera in the pace attack.

Along with the pace attack, Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav recently played key roles in India’s Champions Trophy triumph, will do the job of choking the opposition in the middle overs. Being asked if it was the best bowling attack he’s ever been a part of IPL.

He also mentioned that their overall success will depend on their teams unity and execute their plans.

“I am preparing myself overall, to be honest. I am taking care of my body, bowling with both the new ball and the old ball, and making sure I am ready for any situation,” said Mohit Sharma.

“On paper yes, but we will get the clear picture after stepping onto the ground. How we will perform as a unit and will execute our plans. I don’t really go by what’s on paper, it’ a different scenario at the moment, all ten teams right now look good,” said Mohit Sharma.

The first ten days will be really crucial for us to come together as a unit and execute our plans. It’s a great unit, but a player only becomes great after executing his plans,” added Mohit Sharma.

The 36 year old also shared his views on the imapact substitue rule, saying. unlike other bowlers, he has no problems with it as it creates an opportunity for Indian players.

“I don’t have any problem with it. If an extra player is playing that it’s great for Indian cricket. It’s great entertainment, keep it going,” he added.

Mohit Sharma made an impressive comeback to the IPL in the 2023 edition as he finished as the second highest wicket taker of the edition with 27 wickets to his name from 14 matches.

However, he couldn’t quite replicate the performance in the last season, where he scalped 13 wickets. He will be aiming for a comeback in the IPL 2025 season.

Delhi Capitals will begin their 2025 campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24 at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
