The Indian cricketer Manvanth Kumar is from a cricket-loving family in Mysuru, Karnataka. He lives with his parents and his brother, who also pursued a cricketing career.
His father, Lakshmi Kumar, is a retired bus driver from BMTC (Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation). His mother, Sridevi Kumar, is a homemaker, while his elder brother, Hemanth Kumar, played a pivotal role in mentoring him.
He came from a middle-class background, and they struggled financially to support both children in their cricketing careers.

Notably, his performance agianst Odisha has stunned everyone as he picked a 6-wicket haul and also smashed a century in the same innings.
During the Maharaja Trophy 2024, he picked 16 wickets in 10 games at an average of 23.12.
He has also attended the RCB trials before the IPL 2025 auction and joined the Delhi Capitals for INR 30 Lakhs. However, he did not play for the franchise and was later released by the franchise ahead of the 2026 auction.
