- The Delhi Premier League 2026 features eight teams, including the two new franchises, Outer Delhi Warriors and New Delhi Tigers.
- The tournament follows a round-robin and playoff format, with each team playing 10 league-stage matches.
- A total of 40 matches will be played during the season, with most fixtures scheduled as double-headers.
- At the end of the league stage, the top four teams in the points table qualify for the playoffs. The first and second-placed teams compete in Qualifier 1, while the third and fourth-placed teams face each other in the Eliminator.
- The winner of Qualifier 1 advances directly to the final. The loser of Qualifier 1 meets the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2, with the winner securing the remaining place in the final to compete for the DPL 2026 title.
